Lucy Gilbert, Canada

Dr Gilbert is a Professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology and the Department and of Oncology, McGill University, Montreal. She is the Director of Gynecologic Oncology at McGill and McGill University Health Centre, one of the largest teaching institutions in Canada. She heads the Women’s Research Unit (WHRU) of the McGill University Health Centre. The WHRU conducts clinical and translation research in gynecologic cancers and is the lead site in Canada for many Phase I, II, III and first-in-human studies in Canada. 
Her primary interest is in ovarian cancer and she has received peer reviewed grants from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the US Department of Defense, to support research in ovarian cancer. Her current large scale project being done in collaboration with Genome Quebec and Johns Hopkins, USA is developing for clinical use, an innovative screening test for ovarian cancer based on NGS and molecular barcoding.
